The City of Victor Harbor sought community feedback on its draft 2022/23 Annual Business Plan and Budget during May and early June 2022.
The draft 2022/23 Annual Business Plan describes how Council will allocate its budget and what services, programs and projects it intends to undertake in the coming financial year.
Annual Business Plan and Budget overview
The draft budget forecasts a capital works program worth $14.8 million, offset by grants and other revenue totalling $5.5 million, and operating expenditure of $32.6 million resulting in a deficit of $649,600.
Some of the significant projects to be undertaken during 2022/23 include:
Progressing our Regional Community, Sport and Recreation Precinct with the development of detailed designs
Preparation of detailed technical designs for Stage 1 of the proposed Arts and Culture Centre, comprising the Victa Cinema component
New and renovated public toilets for the Bluff Boat Ramp and Investigator Car Park
Construction works for Stage 4 of the Victor Harbor Mainstreet Precinct Upgrade
Completing the construction of a new stable complex for our beloved Horse Tram, which will eventually host VIP experiences and grow the Horse Tram’s offering to tourists.
The draft budget shows average rates payable increasing by $105 or 4.7% in 2022/23.
The consultation period closed at 5pm on Monday, 13 June 2022. All feedback is now being collated and for considered by the Council.
