Encounter Bay Netball Club - Lease renewal –conclusion of public consultation

The 21 day public consultation period for the lease renewal for the Encounter Bay Netball Club has been completed.

Public consultation was conducted between Thursday 7 May until Friday 29 May 2020.

As there were no submissions received that require Council consideration, the Lease will be authorised by the CEO under delegation.




The City of Victor Harbor is seeking public feedback on a proposal to renew the lease for the Encounter Bay Netball Club located at 51 Armstrong Road, Victor Harbor, commonly known as the Encounter Bay Recreation Ground.

Lease Proposal

To aid in the preparation of a detailed lease agreement with the Encounter Bay Netball Club, the community is invited to comment on the following principles;

  • An overall lease term of 21 years
  • The lease provides the lessee with exclusive use of the premises
  • The annual rent being a peppercorn rental, consistent with that currently being paid by local sporting groups
  • The permitted use includes netball, community and social activities
  • The lessee being responsible for the maintenance of the premises.
