The City of Victor Harbor sought community feedback on a proposal to allow limited short-term camping at the Encounter Bay Recreation Ground located at 51 Armstrong Road, Victor Harbor. It is proposed that this would be undertaken as a 12-month trial.
The proposed arrangement would see the Encounter Bay Football Club responsible for managing campers. If the arrangement were to be approved, limited camping for self-contained vehicles may only be available for a maximum stay of three days during peak periods such as school holidays, long weekends and major events.

Consultation Outcome
A three week consultation period closed on Friday, 14 July 2023. Following consideration of the feedback received during the consultation period, the application from the Encounter Bay Football Club has withdrawn its application to manage RV camping at the Encounter Bay Recreation Ground and the limited camping trial will not proceed.
