About the strategy

The Footpath and Pedestrian Strategy was first adopted by Council in 2011 to help evaluate and prioritise requests for footpaths.

The key changes to the strategy include:

  • Updating related strategies, policies and legislation
  • Including the requirements of the SA Disability Inclusion Act 2018
  • Incorporating priority pedestrian corridors as recommended by Council’s Disability Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee

Bicycle shared paths are not included within this document, they are covered in the City of Victor Harbor’s Bicycle Strategy.
