Public consultation on the draft Victor Harbor Urban Growth Management Strategy was held from 17 October 2024 until 11 December 2024.

The population of Victor Harbor, and the surrounding suburbs, is expected to grow by approximately 8,000 people over the next 25 years. It is important that we manage growth over this period to remain a thriving community with a strong economy, without losing the character that makes Victor Harbor unique.

To do this, the City of Victor Harbor is embarking on a review of its Urban Growth Management Strategy (UGMS) to guide growth to 2050.

Earlier this year we heard from the community and key stakeholders about the opportunities, challenges and options for Victor Harbor to 2050. A report detailing what we heard is available for download here

Since hearing the community’s feedback, we have prepared a draft Urban Growth Management Strategy which seeks to put what we heard into practice. It includes six overarching principles and a series of actions which seek to deliver on these principles.

We would like to hear your feedback on the Strategy and specifically, tell us your thoughts on where Victor Harbor should grow.
