Thank you for your contributions!

Council recently invited the community to share feedback on the Draft Coastal Adaptation Study. This consultation phase has now closed and all contributions are being collated and considered by Council's external consultant, Integrated Coasts.

There will be further opportunity for community feedback during later stages of this project as the Coastal Adaptation Strategy is developed.

Project background

Victor Harbor's stunning coastline is a vital feature of the City, providing both tourism and lifestyle benefits to the community, and encompassing significant cultural and ecological values.

Council recently commenced a project, with consulting team Integrated Coasts, which seeks to identify key coastal issues and vulnerabilities, and to subsequently identify management and mitigation options. A similar study was undertaken in 2013, and the Council's current project will help to review and update this information.

In Phase 1 of the project, the community was consulted and encouraged to submit information and evidence of coastal changes and storm events in the Victor Harbor area. These submissions provided valuable input into the Draft Coastal Adaptation Study.

Now, in Phase 2 of the project, Council is seeking community feedback on the findings of the Study. The feedback submitted as part of this Phase 2 consultation will help to inform a long-term Strategy for managing Victor Harbor’s coastline.
