Consultation has concluded

The City of Victor Harbor is seeking community feedback on the proposal to renew the lease for the Mud ‘N’ Tars Motorcycle Club dirt flat track, located at 13 Day Road, Victor Harbor.

The Mud ‘N’ Tars Motorcycle Club was first established in 1986 and currently has around 130 members. The Club offers a safe and enjoyable environment for motorcycle enthusiasts on the Fleurieu Peninsula. The family-friendly Club caters for all ages and skill levels, from 4 year old children in the Demonstration class up to individuals aged 40+ in the Veterans class.

Council recognises the importance of sporting clubs and the cultivation of a vibrant community culture. The lease proposal for the Mud 'N' Tars Motorcycle Club Inc. aligns with council’s strategic aspirations to provide a variety of open space and recreation opportunities and support the growth of local and regional sporting clubs and facilities.

Proposed Lease Renewal

The Club have applied to renew their lease for a further 10 years. Previous leases have been for five (5) years only, but the Club is seeking the security of a longer lease before committing to significant upgrades of the grounds. The continual increase in female riders to the Club has resulted in the need for dedicated female facilities and a general upgrade of the clubrooms.

All feedback must be returned by 5pm on Monday, 23 August 2021.
