The City of Victor Harbor is seeking public feedback on a proposal to revoke the classification of community land for a portion of allotment 81 Adelaide Road in Hayborough.
The reason for the revocation is to formalise the occupancy of a portion of the subject land, to the Minister of Health, for the construction of a new ambulance station.
Allotment 81 is a horseshoe-shaped parcel of land currently used as an open space reserve. The land to which the new ambulance station would be situated is approximately 72 metres in length and 49 metres in width, for a total of 3500m2 in area.
When Council proposes to revoke the classification of community land, Council is required to prepare a Revocation of the Classification of Community Land Report (the Report) for public consultation. At the conclusion of public consultation, the Report and results of the public consultation will be presented to the Minister for Local Government for consideration.
