The City of Victor Harbor is seeking public feedback on a proposal to revoke the classification of community land for allotment 99, Hindmarsh Road in McCracken.
Allotment 99 is a parcel of land currently used for drainage purposes. It adjoins the new Wohlers Pty Ltd retail homewares store at 6-12 Down Street, McCracken. The owners of Wohlers Pty Ltd have applied to Council for the purchase of a narrow piece of allotment 99 (approximately 205 square metres) to accommodate a retaining wall.
When Council proposes to revoke the classification of community land, Council is required to prepare a Revocation of the Classification of Community Land Report (the Report) for public consultation. At the conclusion of public consultation, the Report and results of the public consultation will be presented to the Minister for Local Government for consideration.
