Consultation has concluded

The City of Victor Harbor is seeking public feedback on the main principles of a licence agreement to allow for the erection of temporary working compounds in the Esplanade and Causeway Boat Ramp car parks during the redevelopment phase of the Granite Island causeway.

License Proposal

To aid in the preparation of a detailed licence agreement with the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, the community is invited to comment on the following principles:

  • The construction compounds are on a temporary basis (the term of the redevelopment of the causeway)
  • The licence provides for exclusive use of the compound areas
  • The permitted use for the occupation of the area is as a work site in connection with the redevelopment of the causeway, including to store equipment and vehicles and to provide amenities for construction workers
  • The lessee being responsible for the maintenance of the premises.

This public consultation is only in relation to the establishment of two temporary compounds to be used as work sites during the redevelopment of the Granite Island Causeway. Any feedback regarding the causeway design and/or construction should be directed to the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport.
