Background
Currently, the Victor Dragon Boat Club has two, 12 metre long boats which are stored in a residential yard. This arrangement is not permanent and although covered with tarps, the boats are exposed to the weather. This arrangement limits the ability to perform maintenance on the boats. Members are required to lift one of the boats from the temporary storage frame to the trailer which poses a risk of personal injury.
Proposed Lease
The City of Victor Harbor is seeking public feedback on a proposal to construct a boat shed and establish a lease with the Victor Dragons Inc. at 51 Armstrong Road, Victor Harbor (commonly known as the Encounter Bay Recreation Ground).
The boat shed will provide protection and shelter for the boats and members and will include an overhead winch to move the boats between the trailer and storage frames. The site identified is near the public toilets and offers a drive through entrance to the shed.
You can provide your feedback in the following ways:
Online survey - complete and submit the survey below. Feedback must be submitted by 5pm on Thursday, 10 June 2021.
Hard copy survey - collect a hard copy survey from the Civic Centre at 1 Bay Road, Victor Harbor. Feedback must be returned by 5pm on Thursday, 10 June 2021.
