    The City of Victor Harbor has reviewed its Outdoor Dining and Street Traders Permit Policy and is seeking community feedback.

    The purpose of the Outdoor Dining and Street Traders Permit Policy is to outline a framework that provides opportunity for businesses to apply to use the adjoining public footpath for outdoor dining or street trading. The policy gives due consideration to statutory and best practice requirements for pedestrian safety, needs and movement, including those pedestrians with disabilities or special mobility needs.

    Council is currently looking at how it will allocate ratepayers funds in 2017/18 to the vast range of programs and services it provides.

    To help Council achieve a budget that provides for services, programs and infrastructure projects that meet the community’s needs now and into the future, and at the same time minimising the financial impact on households by keeping rate increases as low as possible, it is important for the community to provide their feedback.

The community will be able to share their views by providing a written submission or attending a public meeting on 1 June 2017. At the conclusion of the public consultation period on 6 June, the Council will consider community feedback in conjunction with their budget deliberations.
